The Heart of West Asheville Business Coalition (HoWA) exists to protect and uplift the unique character of West Asheville by advocating for owner-operated small businesses, community organizations and thoughtful development. We work collaboratively to strengthen our West Asheville community through bold action, creative marketing, and accessible support for one another—building a thriving, inclusive West Asheville from the ground up.

HoWa is just one of the many groups and organzations that make up the ecosystem in Asheville and West Asheville. This new organization is in its infancy but it quickly gaining steam. Interested members include new and legacy businesses that make West Asheville unique. By focusing on the owner operated businesses in WAVL, HoWa is a new kind of business organization.

Members of HoWa’s sub membership committee are currently applying for 501c3 and 501c6 membership.
